From Isolation is the second and final concert of the 2021 NEXUS Chamber Music Season 4 Festival, and marks the return of live music to Guarneri Hall. The program includes Ballade by Eugène Ysaÿe, Jesse Montgomery’s Duo for Violin and Cello (2015), A Sanguine Clockwork for String Trio by Paul Wiancko, and Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110. For this performance, NEXUS Co-artistic Directors, violinist Brian Hong and cellist Alexander Hersh, will be joined by violinist Rubén Rengel and violist Ayane Kozasa.
